Spokane Valley Wasp Control Keeping Outside Entertainment Safe
Music fills the air at the 7th Eastern Washington Heritage Show at the Heritage Museum in Spokane Valley. This weekend there’s going to be tractor pulls, butter churning, snacks, and so much more. From big events and entertainment to a backyard BBQ, where there’s food and fun wasps will be there as well. They find their way onto pop cans, meats and desserts. Wearing bright yellow and black, they’re the ultimate party crashers.
Outside terrors
Watch where you sit; those wasps are a flying menace. They’re attracted to sugar, fats, and protein. Their little bodies come armed with a rapid repeat stinger that won’t stop until its dead. Their backside isn’t the only problem. Equipped with a set of hardened pincers, wasps can chew into soft flesh. It doesn’t take much to set them off. Wasps are aggressive; walk near a nest and there will be a cloud of attackers. With the constant threat of biting and stinging, your outdoor fun could be in jeopardy.
Nests are another problem. From eaves and overhangs to trees and playground equipment, if there is a spot that’s warm and dry the wasps will find it. Not long after a nest is built, they’re out on the prowl. You and your picnic are the next things they’ll be hunting.
