Washington State is full of beautiful farms, gorgeous landscapes and a vast array of recreation and tourist sites. But what you didn’t know is that Washington has some very silly laws. Most states do when you get into the details but in Washington, people may not buy mattresses on Sunday. In the city of Everett, it is illegal to display a hypnotized person in a store front window. It is also illegal to attach a vending machine to a utility pole without the utility company’s consent. And don’t even think about venturing out in public if you have the common cold, that’s illegal too. While these laws are most assuredly either broken daily or the circumstances would never happen to allow these, they are still entertaining. One thing that is never funny are wasp infestation. An infestation of any pest, is a very serious thing.
How do I know if I have a wasp infestation?
The mere presence of wasps is a good indicator that there are wasps nesting nearby. Wasps seldom fly too far away from their nest. They do forage for food and rarely fly more than 100-200 yards from their nest. At times of desperation, they have been known to fly 300-1000 yards from the hive but if they can avoid it and hunt for insects closer to home, this is ideal. Encountering wasps daily throughout your yard means that they are somewhere nearby.
