But there’s nothing worse than finding your zen out in nature only to discover that it has also moved into your home in the form of obnoxious pests and insects. It’s time to boot nature outside, back where it belongs.
Ants: one of the most stubborn pests
One of the most difficult pests to remove from your home are ants. Because they are small, it’s hard to know if you have removed the infestation. They are not a noisy pest and you most likely will not notice their presence until there are many. If a few ants sneak into your home through a crack and find food, they release a pheromone that immediately signals other ants from their colony of the good news. Soon there will be hundreds, if not thousands of ants in your kitchen for the great feast.
Some ants cause destruction
Not all ants adore the kitchen. Another type of ant homeowners battle is the carpenter ant. This ant can be a terrible nuisance and even cause quite a bit of damage within your walls. Once they find a way inside, they will build nests within the dry wood of the support beams. They are not as destructive as termites but a good sized colony can still cause enough damage to warrant costly repairs.
