Despite their name, bald-faced hornets are actually a type of yellowjacket, not true hornets! 🤯

These black-and-white stinging insects build large, paper-like nests that are often found:
🌳 In trees
🌿 Shrubs
🏡 Under rooflines
🛝 Around playgrounds and sheds

Unlike bees, they can sting multiple times and become very defensive if their nest is disturbed.

If you spot a large aerial nest around your property, it’s best to keep your distance and leave removal to the professionals.

I would highly recommend pointe pest control. Chayson was so knowledgeable and personable. I had a hornets nest in the same tree where there was a wild honey bee hive and I didn’t want to harm the bees. He assured me that the bees were a protected species and that he would not use pesticides, but would knock the hornets down with a pole. It took just a few minutes and the hornets were gone and the bees were safe!
