First off, bed bug bites look a lot like other insect bites. That being said, just because you see itchy red bite marks on your arms or face, doesn’t mean you have bed bugs. Bites are the first sign of an infestation. If you see new bites each morning, it is time to get suspicious. You will need to find a few more signs to verify that you have an infestation of bed bugs. The second sign of a bed bug infestation is to take a closer look at your sheets. Bed bugs are lazy. When they bite you and drink your blood, they defecate. You will notice rust colored spots on your sheets and on your pajamas. These spots are the second sign. The third sign of a bed bug infestation is to find a bed bug. Bed bugs are photophobic, meaning they hate light. They prefer to hide in dark areas. You are going to want to grab your flashlight in order to find them.
